A loud, hideous BRRRRZZZZZZ offends the aural senses of anyone who had the poor judgment to press play. The sound is coupled with the equally offensive sight of an out of focus vuvuzela on an iHolo. It goes on for fifteen seconds before being interrupted by a laughing as the iHolo is lowered and the view is replaced by Matt's delightedly amused face.
Man, I love that thing. He holds up his iHolo again. This time, so it doesn't obstruct his face. Vu-ve-luza... Vuvuzela? A shrug. I can't remember what it's called, but it's this retro app from one of the past World Cups way back in the day.
Anyway, Matt sits up straight and runs a hand through his dishevelled hair, as if remembering that the purpose of this video is not to advertise iHolo apps. We're having a Fourth of July special all weekend at Pelham Auto Shop - ten percent off oil changes and a free engine checkup - and we'll wrap it up with a barbecue on Sunday, so come on by to get your car looked at or to eat some hot dogs. I'll post a link to the website and directions to the shop for those of you who don't know how to use Google.
He smiles and gives viewers another blast of vuvuzela before the screen goes black.

This little guy has been hanging around the shop (Pelham Auto Shop in Pelham Gardens in the Bronx) for a few days, so I brought him home to give him some food, water, and a bed.
He's adorable so I don't mind keeping him, but I bet he's missing home if he has one. If he belongs to you, you can respond to this entry or e-mail me or whatever. |

The police who came by cleaned my apartment and I didn't get slapped by any lady cops, so I'd call that a success.

Matt frowns for half a second as the image moves downward sharply, giving a better view of his face. Then, looking satisfied, he grins and nods at the camera in acknowledgement. Hey, how's it goin'? So, this guy came into the shop today with a car his grandpa left him and he wanted us to check it out and make sure it's still in good condition. Normally, I wouldn't announce this to the internet, but this just isn't the sort of thing you keep to yourself.
The camera pans 180 degress to a car in a rapid, swooping motion. When the image focuses, Matt lets out a low whistle. That right there is a 1960 Ford Thunderbird. The camera bounches slightly as Matt moves closer.
Isn't she a gorgeous piece of machinery?
The camera returns to Matt's cocky, yet excited grin. And I get to work on her. Jealous, bitches? His expression turns slightly more serious, but retains a glimmer of arrogance. Anyways, with this beauty driving in this morning and the talk lately about flying cars got me thinking. What do you think is the future of classic cars like the Thunderbird or the Mustang? Or, actually, all modern cars? Will they be kept around as antiques by collectors and museums or will they be tossed to the curb because they have wheels? Let me know, y'all are a talkative bunch. Then, as he bites his lower lip, his eyes direct to something just slightly to the left of the camera for a split second before the screen goes black.
